Just a dog...

From time to time people tell me, "Come on, it's just a dog," or, That's a lot of money for just a dog." They don't understand the distance traveled, time spent, or costs involved for "Just a dog." Some of my proudest moments have come about with "Just a dog." Many hours have passed with my only company being "Just a dog and not once have I felt lonely. Many times the gentle touch of "Just a dog" provided comfort and purpose to the day.

If you, too, think its "Just a dog," you will probably understand phrases like "Just a friend," "Just a sunrise," or "Just a promise." "Just a dog" brings into my life the very essence of friendship, trust and pure joy. "Just a dog" brings out the compassion and patience that makes me a better person. Because of "Just a dog", I rise earlier, take long walks and experience the joy of the moment.

I hope that someday people can understand it's not "Just a dog." It's the thing that gives me humanity and keeps me from being "Just a man or woman."

So the next time I hear the phrase "Just a dog," I will smile, because they "Just Don't Understand."

Patrick Does Puyallup!

Andy's brother Patrick showed at the Puyallup Dog show this past weekend. He looked incredible and was a little angel all weekend. (he's a bit of a handful at home) He took BOS over a special so he got his first major!!

Friends

A friend is that special someone who makes life a bit easier by just being there.

We took some photos at the park last week. It was cold and Jayda wasn't very cooperative but I thought these turned out great!

Water Droplet

It snowed again yesterday and as the snow was melting, I took this photo of a water droplet on the japanese maple tree. The reflection in the drop is of our house and the sky. I thought this was very cool.
