Basketball, Baby!

Kylie had a basketball game on Saturday. They lost in a very low scoring game but her team is starting to get the hang of it. Ann made a foul shot (or is it called a free throw?)...we were all very excited.

Pretty Flowers

It snowed last night and today. The schools were operating two hours late. Our street was covered so the kids did a little sledding but there wasn't even enough snow to take a pretty picture. So, I bought some flowers and pulled out my macro lens again. I thought these were interesting and I had some fun.

Last week was cold and sunny and beautiful! Mt. Rainier was out in all it's glory everyday. The sunsets were beautiful.

Sunday Brunch with Peggy!

Kylie and I went up to West Seattle to have brunch with Peggy yesterday. She has a beautiful condo and served up delicious quiche and fruit. We had a great visit and even managed to take a few photos! Thanks Peggy!

Horseback riding lessons!!

Kylie had her first horseback riding lesson at Pond de Luce Stable on Thursday. She had a great time and her instructor seemed to think she did well. Her little horse was very cute. His name is Chad.

Stuffed!

It was a beautiful day on Sunday and we went to the school with the family and Jayda. The boys played a little basketball. Ryan sure is getting tall!



We also played fetch with Jayda and she met another dog. He was a standard poodle and they quickly became friends.


We all had a lot of fun!

Pajama Party!

Yesterday was a pajama birthday party for Amy and Sherri! Twenty five of their closest friends attended and it was great fun. Mary Anne graciously hosted and Kris provided the beautiful and delicious cake.

An apple a day...

I love using my macro lens for photography. It's fun being able to get so up close with everyday objects. I'm not very good at using it but I am going to practice and see what happens. Look at all the detail in the stem of that apple!! And the bruises too. LOL!

I bought Ben a garage door opener for Christmas and it was installed today. It's not a terribly expensive item but it's something he never wanted to spend the money on. The installation went off without a hitch and I can't wait for him to check it out.

Getting ready for Valentine's Day?

I saw a Valentine's Day card the other day that I thought was so cute and I wanted to try the idea with Jayda. I set up the studio light and found a red background and gave it a shot. It was a disaster. Jayda kept trying to eat the fabric and when I did get a couple shots, it didn't look anything like the card. Oh well, I may try again. I got one fun shot of her looking at the camera. Maybe I'll make a card out of this one.

Happiness is Sunshine and Soccer

The sunshine was beautiful today. Shining through all the windows and warming up the house. Jayda took advantage and was found snoozing in a sunny spot.

Later this afternoon, Adam had a Meeker soccer game. They won 6-1. The beautiful sunshine was long gone and it was cold. Please note the dedicated fan!!

Nothing is easy

Still trying to get the digital frame working. It doesn't seem as easy as I thought it would be but Ryan and I will keep trying!

It was a beautiful sunny morning. Kylie and I took Jayda for a nice walk. Then it started raining and snowing a bit. It's always a mixed bag of weather these days.

Happy Saturday!

The Seahawks are in the playoffs. Go Hawks! We finally got cable TV after using rabbit ears all these years. We are all thrilled to have good reception and many channels to choose from. So... the guys are watching the Seahawks game in style today. (I'll probably watch it too!)


For Christmas, Ben and the kids bought me a digital frame. I'm so excited. I've been going through old photos and taking some new ones to load on the frame. It also plays music so I'll have Ryan put on a few of my favorite songs. Here are a couple new shots and an old favorite for the frame:
